Music is often treated as the message of the almighty.
There are some gifted artists to whom the divine tunes descend from a
very young age. Idris Mohammed Ali is one such rare musician to whom the
life's duty was clear from the early childhood.
He is a popular artist, and one of the most prominent Eritrean artists
where he joined in the early seventies the popular forces for the
liberation of Eritrea. He considers to be one of the founders of that
front and the early opponents of the policies of the Management
Committee at that time because of that he joined the political wing led
by Osman Saleh Sabbe. He established and organized professionally the
first Eritrean music band which represented PFLE, During the struggle
for liberation Idris Muhammad Ali walked east and west to drum up
support for the struggle of the Eritrean people. After independence he
continued to sing for his beloved Eritrea until today..
In 1997 Idris was finally rewarded for his music talents.
That year, he won a Raimok Award for the best song of the year (rim
