Thank you for your efforts. This is huge task. I was one of
those who believe that the Tigre language is going to
disappear due to the efforts of its sons and for lack of
iterest. Some tigre speakers look down at their own language
believing that Arabic is a sacred language for writing.I
beleive all language are equal. I beleive that all languages
have potentials and all are beautiful.
I am saddened that some people use this medium to put their
narrow form of ethnocentricism to look down at Tigringia
language(the guy who wrote in arabic )and put some racist
slur in lthe discussion forum.
I would like to see more recent studies about the Tigre
language. Some of the article are old. I am also not sure
whether this is a popular site or just an academic one.
I have some suggestion that you may find it helpful.
Since some internet users in the eritrean diasapora may not
have a software that can display the Geez(ethiopic)
characters, I would suggest you put documents that are
written in Tigre(with Geez characters)in a PDF.
Try to popularize the site and it is open to all Eritreans.
You can also put audio of any tigre oral traditions.
Ask for article contributions from readers.

Hi,
Thank you for the respond and I also like to thank you for
itroducing me to Awkit.
I would also like to remind you that if not the majority, at
least half of the Tigre speaking,
do not know Geez alphabets, except those who Tigrinia was
imposed on them in Eritrea.
Most of our Tigre speakers can speak Arabic specially those
who are in Sudan and the Mildest.
So, I would like you to put that in consideration unless you
are tarfetting specific group of people from the Tigre
speakers.
